For over 20 years, Lily Mei and her family have proudly called Fremont home choosing our city for its family-friendly environment. Lily is both proud to be a contributor to the growing success of Fremont’s public education system and be a proud parent of two current students.
Lily is currently serving her second term as Fremont Unified School Board Trustee and has served both as past President and Vice-President of the board.
At the state level, Lily is the President of the Asian Pacific Islander School Board Members Association (APISBMA) for California. During her tenure, Lily has worked to ensure APISBMA’s active participation on CSBA’s Council of Presidents serving as a founding representative when this group was established in 2009. APISBMA’s focus has helped foster CSBA’s collaborative efforts to enrich their partnership with ethnic school board member associations statewide.
Regionally in the Bay area, Lily has been elected by surrounding local school districts to two terms as a Delegate Assembly member for Region 7 which represents Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
Prior to joining the Fremont Unified school board Lily managed a worldwide high-technology trade association chairing global events and developing best practices partnering with leading international entities. Her work experience includes over 20 years in various finance, channel marketing, strategic planning and sales operation roles.
Here in Fremont, Lily embraces the many diverse recreational and cultural efforts. She has been a volunteer and leader supporting local scouting and sports programs including soccer, Little League, and swim teams. She is also a board member/advisor to:
